About the Album

This entire album is a burst of nostalgia that throws the listener straight back into the heyday of classic rock. It is a burst of bright and buzzy guitars, succinct percussion with the drums, and vocals with a powerful growl behind them. Not only that, it is delivered with a rush of energy, excitement, and melody. Even the production lent by WZRD BLD, or Drew Folk, builds up a classic sound that will throw you straight back into the 60s and 70s.

From the immediate punchiness of the opener “Do It All Night,” to the quick vocal hits of “Gonna Let You Go,” then to the anthemic nature of “No Te Quiero,” and to the perfect sendoff of the final track “The King,” this album has something for everyone. It hits so right, some may call it Crazy Beautiful. It’s So Good, you might think that Ya Need It, and it may just make you feel Alive.

But seriously, the nostalgic rush this album provides is stellar. It has a great flow. And it does a great job of exploring concepts of love and lust. It provides a sound you won’t want to miss, especially if you enjoy a bit of classic rock but want something that’s new. It’s a breath of fresh air in a genre that isn’t always done right in the modern day. On top of the album being great, Hot For Crime has already received tons of praise for their energy in live performances. So if you have a chance to see them, you should see them.

And you can expect much, much, more. In an interview with Vents Magazine lead vocalist Mick Patterson noted that “the Beatles made about 200 songs in 8 years. That’s like 2 albums a year…and almost all of the songs are great…we are currently working at that pace.” So, if you’re happy with what you hear there’s so much to be ready for. There’s surely more on the way!
