Paging Doctor Moon released “The BUG EP” on August 26th. The four-piece band is comprised of Kirsten Heibert (vocals), and Morgan Karabel (drums). Hiebert’s vocals, synthesizer, and the soft melodies mix together to create the five track EP produced by Julian Giaimo.
“Bug is a doomed relationship played over five tracks. The record is full of peaks and valleys; at times introspective and sweet, and other times explosive and volatile. We wanted to highlight the dualities of codependency and explore new soundscapes through synthesizers and layered vocals,” says Heibert
This ep is a follow up to their debut album, “Lost My Body” released independently in March of 2021. Paging Doctor Moon is Kirsten Heibert’s brain child which started in 2018. She is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She spent a decade traveling, self-recording, writing and making a name for herself in Las Vegas and NYC.
“Writing music always answers the questions I have about myself; Bug was another learning experience. I am excited to release it because I truly just love it and am proud of all of the work that we did. I simply love having the opportunity to connect with people that I would have never otherwise reached through my lyrics and music. The connection, understanding, storytelling, vulnerability…it’s my favorite thing,” Hiebert continues.
