South Bronx band, Brand of Julez, was formed by brothers Julez Zamora (vocals/guitars) and Brandon Zamora (bass/backing vocals) in 2011 when they were only 16 and 13. They released their debut EP in September 2012, and relentlessly worked to make their brand of heavy rock heard and known. They’ve been able to perform at incredible venues such as Webster Hall (The Studio, The Marlin Room and Grand Ballroom), The Gramercy Theater, The Bowery Ballroom, Irving Plaza and Starland Ballroom. By captivating crowds with their performance, they’ve been able to share the stage with national recording artists such as Buckcherry, Ace Frehley, Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, and more.
They began working on their first self produced album, FORWARD, in 2016 and were able to release it in 2018 with the help of engineer Joey Z (guitarist for Life of Agony), mixer Mike Ferretti at Architekt Music (Sevendust) and mastering done by Andy Van Dette at Engine Room Audio (Sevendust, Muse, Rush). They added New Jersey’s Nick Kashmanian (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Frankie D’Esposito (drums) from Long Island, to complete the full band line-up. Brand Of Julez recently toured the US with Otep, Doll Skin, Bobaflex, Puddle of Mudd, and Texas Hippie Coalition. Brand of Julez is now back into the studio working on their next round of music.
“From the Bronx, this band delivers what you would expect from a New York metal band…The music is heavy and fast and the band is clearly enjoying playing. They don’t mess around with a lot of extra talking as they want to deliver as many songs as possible.”
