Boston based band Major Moment, a duo of two Russian-born vocalists, has recently released a new single “The Flood”. The song’s name was inspired by an old french saying, “Après nous, le déluge” which translates to “After us, the flood”. The story behind the saying is particularly important during a time like our own because it expresses the carelessness of the people we are governed by and the blatant disregard for our future. Major Moment was faced with their own adversity when they lost 4 members in one day. Instead of giving up, Andrey and Sasha decided to work harder than ever on releasing new music. While writing ‘The Flood’, the lyrics began to take on a new meaning and as some recent events unfolded around the world, Andrey and Sasha felt even more that releasing this song was what they needed to do. The official lyric video clearly portrays topics such as Global Warming and War. Filled with contemporary electronic elements, the female-led rock anthem of resilience ‘The flood’ is here to remind us that despite our differences, we are all the same. In their own words “We are here to support each other, lift each other up, and despite our differences, we all bleed just the same.”
