The Ones You Forgot Release New Single “Something For Me”

Local to Brick, New Jersey, The Ones You Forgot released their latest single, ‘Something For Me’ today. For starting out in 2014, the band has already had major accomplishments including playing Warped Tours 25th Anniversary in Atlantic City, opening for Boys Like Girls, Four Year Strong, Emarosa, and many others. While pulling inspiration from those like State Champs and We Are In The Crowd, they stand out in the pop/rock scene with their hook driven, upbeat and fun sound.

‘Something For Me’ captivates you from the moment you press play. Between the upbeat riffs and lyrics, you can’t help but want to sing along. It’s a great balance of the pop and punk rock elements that make for a hit, along with lyrics that are relatable to majority of fans and new listeners. The band states:

Something For Me embraces the freedom of escaping an unhealthy relationship, and the struggle that unfortunately comes along with it. It’s all about realizing the love you deserve and learning that it’s not fair for you to keep waiting for respect, especially when you repeatedly ask for it. One of the most frustrating parts, is when you still crave that person even when you know they are only killing you from the inside out.”

This song captures the emotion you feel in the moment of realizing and letting go of something or someone that’s not going to be good for you any longer. It embraces self love and that is something that is incredibly important to hold onto. After hearing this single, The Ones You Forgot should definitely be on your playlist. “Something For Me” is available now to be streamed/downloaded.
