Pollyanna New Single and Video “Mars”

New Jersey punk band Pollyanna is getting ready for their new album by releasing the single and music video “Mars.” The four-piece band is getting ready to release their debut album, “Slime,” on June 17th. This is the new single for the album written by the vocalist Jill Beckett after a horrifying personal experience.

“I was getting so tired of constantly being around such fake people that I always felt I had to watch my back while caring too much about what they thought about me. Writing this song was my breaking free from the care, the worry, the fear of judgment and just getting away from it all,” Beckett explains.

The single is a classic punk inspired song that gives a chaotic, but somehow fun vibe. The mosh pit ensuing rhythm paired with the music video, of the band playing in an overcrowded house party, conveyed Becketts message, “you just feel completely alone even though you’re surrounded by so many people.”

“Mars” is available to view on Ones to Watch. You can see it here. See them on tour with Forever Came Calling. Purchase tickets here. Preorder their album “Slime” here.
