Postcards From The Moon Releasing New Single “You Deserve the World Too” 2/19

The pop-rock quartet from Texas, Postcards from the Moon, has officially kicked off the new year with their latest single, “You Deserve the World Too,” which is available for online streaming and digital download on February 19th. The track instantly took me back in time with the nostalgic acoustic-pop feel that reminded me of my favorite music from my childhood.

Postcards from the Moon encompasses a variety of sounds that is a spin on a nostalgic pop-rock sound and evokes reminiscence of adolescence and childhood memories. Their lyrics mend the deepest cracks of a wounded heart, soaring violin melodies, electrifying guitar harmonies, and driving energy behind it all that brings people together through music. The band’s message has always been about “finding the strength in times of hardship to go on and shoot for the moon.”

The group’s latest single comes fresh off the heels of their last song, “I Wasn’t Enough,” which was released in late 2020 and featured solo artist/notable YouTube personality, Johnnie Guilbert, on guest vocals. In contrast to the power ballad structure of its predecessor, “You Deserve the World Too” is an electric pop-rock anthem from start to finish that holds nothing back in its powerful delivery. The accompanying music video showcases all 4 members of the band doing what they do best without interruption; performing.

Built on the band’s signature backbone of acoustic guitar, the song is driven by its electric guitars, and heartfelt and genuine lyrics that hit close to home, all capped off by a powerful vocal delivery from vocalist Caleb Rangel. From the title, the song appears to be a beautiful love song. Once you hit play, the song transforms into a beautiful and heartbreaking love song. The lyrics speak of loving someone, yet realizing that you were not meant to be together. Even though you love them, you have to let them go because they deserve more than what you can give them.

“No you don’t deserve heartbreak / And you don’t deserve to take / All this hurt and all this pain / You deserve to be smiling more.”

Recorded at Reach Audio with RIAA Multi-Gold producer Kevin W. Gates (Never Shout Never, The Ready Set, Cady Groves), the track offers a sneak peek into what can be expected from the band’s upcoming sophomore EP, the title and release date of which has yet to be announced.

Make sure you give “You Deserve the World Too” a listen when it is released on February 19th!
