The Covid-19 Pandemic has halted the careers of so many, including those in the music industry. The effects of this quarantine have reached bands globally. While everyone is trying to find a way to keep in touch with their fan base and make new music, we find it extremely important to stay connected and to know that we’re all in this together. This set of seven questions has been answered by so many bands from around the world already but today we have the symphonic metal band Silent Saga hailing from the Netherlands. Their debut album RISE! was released in 2018. In early 2020 the band released their latest EP “FIRE” which is available for streaming on their website.
MR: Introduce yourself in 6 words or less.
SS: We are the inner revolution!
MR: During the Covid-19 Quarantine, a lot of people spent time doing things they normally wouldn’t have done…did you pick up any new hobbies or learn any new skills?
SS: I personally have been spending lots of time in the studio and have also given some shots at building custom guitars. It’s quite a nice hobby!
MR: What do you miss the most about touring?
SS: The audience and my bandmates of course! People singing the songs, headbanging, going wild. This is probably what is driving most musicians crazy.
MR: Do you have any Post-Quarantine plans?
SS: For now I’m trying to make “during-quarantine” plans. Honestly, we don’t know when this is going to end or when another one will come. I think that it is more reasonable right now to figure out what we can do until things get back to normal, and if/when they do, we’ll think about that.
MR: Whats one personal item you absolutely can not tour without?
SS: Definitely my laptop. My Steam account would feel very lonely.
MR: What are the Top 3 artists you are inspired by?
SS: Iron Maiden (cheesy, I know), Andre Matos and currently Amaranthe.
MR: Any words of wisdom for someone who may draw their inspiration from you?
SS: Stop trying to change the world before you’re able to change yourself.
