Pennsylvania local, Taylor Acorn is gearing up to hit the road with two heavy hitters in the alternative scene: Dashboard Confessional and Boys Like Girls. Along with these tour dates, she also had a few headliners set as well. Her music has become a quick hit within the pop punk community, with her songs tackling tough issues such as mental health and her own struggles with it. The openness allows people to feel seen and relate while listening, creating a genuine connection to the music.
On September 13th, Taylor will be releasing her highly anticipated full-length debut album, Survival in Motion, featuring singles “High Horse” and “Greener”. The title track will also have a music video to accompany it, and can be viewed here. I’ve had the privilege to see Taylor perform live, and her set was full of energy and fun! Make sure to pre-order the album, along with snagging some new merch (yay!) before it’s all gone!
“I feel like I’ve been waiting a lifetime to be able to say “I’m putting out a debut album”, but in all honesty I’m so glad I waited for as long as I have,” Taylor shares. “I feel like I’ve finally found my sound — I’ve fallen in love with every single song in it’s own right, the writing process was truly something I’ll never forget — and to top it off I got to share the experience with my best friends and some of the most amazing and talented people I know.”

I love reading the e-newsletters from Midnight Riot. You do a great job providing exposure to up-and-coming bands and performers, so keep doing what you’re doing now.
I also wanted to call your attention to the latest single release from East of Eado, an alt-rock band from Houston. Here is a link to their official music video on YouTube. Enjoy.
