February 3rd, 2024 marks Knox’s first headlining show in Philadelphia, PA. As The Foundry opened, the venue buzzed with excitement as fans gathered to witness the rising star in action. Fellow Atlantic artist, Maryjo opened the night up with energetic hits as well as a Paramore cover. Knox’s stage presence was magnetic, capturing the audience’s attention from the moment he stepping onto the stage.
The setlist, a journey through his current releases (and a few unreleased ones), showcased his talent and love for music. From ballads that tugged at the heartstrings to energetic hits; Knox effortlessly navigated an emotional range. His most popular songs, ‘Sneakers‘ and ‘Not the 1975‘ had the whole place jumping and singing along. Even when he admittedly played some lesser-known songs, fans still sang back the lyrics and surprised him in the best way.
What truly set Knox apart is the intimate connection he establishes with the audience in these small venues. Based on the success of this sold out show, it won’t be long until you see him headlining larger venues. As he stated a few times throughout the night “Next time we’re playing the big room.”
