Breakaway Music Festival: Grand Rapids, MI August 27- 28, 2021

Breakaway Music Festival returned to Grand Rapids, MI on August 27 and 28, 2021. The music festival headlined ILLENIUM and Quinn XCII and brought in pop and EDM artists like Gryffin, Big Wild, Chelsea Cutler, Madeon, Alexander 23, Loud Luxury, and more.

Breakaway’s motto is “leave it all behind,” and the festival offered a space for people to get lost in the rhythm of live music once again. Even though the weekend provided record high heat, spirits were high and there was even a proposal on stage on night two.

ILLENIUM mixed elements of celestial electronic, rock-fueled dubstep, and pop-inspired bass into his set. Onstage, ILLENIUM brings his music to life via his dynamic live show—fully equipped with keyboards, drum pads and cinematic visuals.

Quinn XCII returned to his home state to perform his songs that fuse hip hop, pop, reggae, and EDM into his own unique sound. He brought positive energy onstage to close the weekend’s festival with a bang.

Breakaway Music Festival has more events this fall including Columbus, OH (Sept. 3-4) and Charlotte, NC (Oct. 1-2).
