Dynamic Canadian hard rock trio The Jailbirds have recently released their mammoth latest single Dull My Brain. The Jailbirds have a fresh yet nostalgic feel, reminiscent of the 70’s rock scene whilst still being new and exciting.
MR: Introduce yourself in 6 words or less.
TheJailbirds: Rock N Roll, Classic meets Modern
MR: During the Covid-19 Quarantine, a lot of people spent time doing things they normally wouldn’t have done…did you pick up any new hobbies or learn any new skills?
TheJailbirds: I personally didn’t pick up any new hobbies, however we used the time off to work on projects/songs that we once found difficult to work on with everything else going on (like shows). With all of our free time, we went back through old demos, stuff we had completely forgotten about haha, and started to write and prepare for the moment we can return to the stage.
MR: What do you miss the most about touring?
TheJailbirds: The thing I miss the most about touring is definitely the rush you get when you’re on a new stage, in a new place. There’s always a rush when you play live, but there’s something special about a new setting. That, and the people that you meet while on the road! You always find interesting stories and interesting perspectives, and that’s really what this is all about for us. To tour the world, meet new people and experience life to the fullest extent!
MR: Do you have any Post-Quarantine plans?
TheJailbirds: Absolutely. We plan to hit the ground running! The moment we are able to, we will be touring and releasing new music to go along with that. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on!!
MR: Whats one personal item you absolutely can not tour without?
TheJailbirds: Hmmmmm. Probably my travel guitar LOL. Can’t not play guitar all the time!
MR: What are the Top 3 artists you are inspired by?
TheJailbirds: Good question. I would say my top 3 are Alter Bridge (Myles in general), Soundgarden and Monster Truck. Can never get enough of those bands, and although there are a ton more bands/artists I draw from, those 3 always seem to be the first things I think about.
MR: Any words of wisdom for someone who may draw their inspiration from you?
TheJailbirds: Take your time, we only do this trip once! Patience is key, and nothing good ever comes quickly!
