Wrapping up their second North American tour, Imminence from Sweden delivered an unforgettable performance at The Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, with upcoming shows in Harrisburg, PA, and the Sonic Temple festival. They were joined by Of Virtue and Archers, whose energetic sets, especially Of Virtue’s intense circle pits and heavy songs, perfectly got the audience ready for Imminence.
Words cannot describe the experience of seeing Imminence perform live. Their mastery as musicians and performers is unparalleled, and the way they seamlessly weave together their music and stage presence truly stirs the soul. This is a band you do not want to miss when they come to your town.
Imminence’s performance is a pure emotional journey, amplified by a stunning light show. As a fan since 2019, finally seeing them live was a dream come true. The setlist was a perfect mix of their hits from the past few years, delighting long-time fans. A special highlight was the crowd singing happy birthday to bassist Christian Höijer, adding a personal touch to the evening.
Midway through their set, Imminence prepared for their encore with an extraordinary medley. They moved seamlessly from “Come What May” off The Black album into “l’appel du vide,” “∞,” and “Heaven in Hiding.” The transition was breathtaking, and as the show ended, the lights dimmed and the band left the stage. They returned to take a bow together, a rare and touching gesture that allowed the audience to express their immense appreciation despite our hoarse voices from singing along all night.
